Football: Lille to be part of Euro 2016 bid

On Wednesday November 11th last, the twenty one members of the French Football Federation's governing body chose twelve sites for the Euro 2016 bid, including the Grand Stade Lille Métropole stadium project currently under construction. Along with France, there are three other candidates: Italy, a joint Norway-Sweden bid, and Turkey.

Bids must be submitted by February 15th and UEFA will nominate the host country on Friday May 28th, 2010...
Here are the twelve sites that have been selected:
Existing sites: Saint-Denis (Stade de France, 80,000 seats), Paris (Parc des Princes, 45,000 seats), Lens (Félix-Bollaert, 45,000 seats), Strasbourg (La Meinau, 36,000 seats), Nancy (Marcel-Picot, 35,000 seats), Saint-Etienne (Geoffroy-Guichard, 40,000 seats), Marseille (Stade Vélodrome, 65,000 seats) and Toulouse (Stadium, 35,000 seats).
Under construction or planned: Lille (Grand Stade, 51,000 seats), Bordeaux (Grand Stade, 43,000 seats), Lyon (OL Land, 62,000 seats), Nice (Grand Stade, 35,000 seats).
