Success in education for all!

Since March 2005, a new scheme entitled the "Global Education Project" has continued to develop the good work of the City of Lille in the provision of quality school, cultural, sports and leisure services for every child in Lille, Hellemmes and Lomme. By going beyond the national legal requirements, Lille wishes to ensure every child and young person has an equal opportunity in terms of schooling, but also in their personal fulfilment.
The feeling of well-being of children can be accomplished thanks to activities enjoyed in their free-time, such as games, sports, arts and cultural activities. Participation in these activities helps children and young people to develop their skills, encourages their social integration and increases their self confidence.
In accordance with the "Global Education Project", each district of Lille is committed to providing such activities, whilst respecting the historic fabric of the districts and the existing facilities on offer.
