The aim of the City of Lille is to enable each resident to profit from the city's development, whatever their district of residence may be.

To this end, the Urban Project of the city has its goal in ensuring each district exists as a veritable portion of the city, where a wide variety of functions (housing, shops, businesses, sports, culture) and a high quality of public infrastructures (highways, squares and gardens, public amenities) can be found.

The objective is to offer a quality of life in the context of sustainable development, where the residents of the different districts of Lille, Hellemmes and Lomme all live better together in their diversity.
